Weight Management Options

Diet options include developing a meal plan using any of the following:

  1. Regular grocery store foods
  2. Shakes and entrées with or without fruits and vegetables
  3. All shakes

We even have a self directed, at-home program.

Robinwood Endocrinology partners with HMR®, the leader and innovator in the weight management field. Since 1983, the HMR® program for weight management has been offered in more than 400 hospitals and medical centers nationwide.

Listed below are some of the HMR® diet options.

Very Low-Calorie Diet/Low Calorie Diet

Designed for quick and significant weight loss, this diet is ideal for individuals who need to lose thirty pounds or more, or for people whose health requires medical monitoring. According to national HMR data*, the average starting weight for this program is about 260 pounds and the average weight loss is 55–60 pounds, but many patients lose more than 100 pounds while reducing medical risk factors and medications. Individuals in this program are monitored by our nurses with physician oversight.

Healthy Solutions® Diet

A moderate diet offered with or without medical supervision, this diet is based on HMR® meals and shakes supplemented with your favorites fruits and vegetables. Weight loss will be slower than in the low-calorie programs, and the average weight loss is 35–40 pounds.

Self-Directed Program (HMR at Home®)

For individuals who prefer an unsupervised program without classes, the HMR® at Home program is a convenient option. Participants receive a do-it-yourself kit with weight-loss foods and comprehensive support materials. The Healthy Solutions Quick Start™ Diet Kit includes both shakes and meals, while the HMR Healthy Shakes™ Diet Kit centers on special low-calorie shakes for most daily meals and snacks.
