  Economic Impact of Construction

It will cost about $157 million to construct the new regional medical center at Robinwood. This includes the building, fixed equipment, site preparation, and architectural and engineering fees.

According to an estimate based on a model provided by the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development, the cost of the regional medical center will generate additional dollars in the local Washington County area.

That’s good news because the construction project will benefit local businesses that sell construction-related materials and provide employment opportunities for carpenters, electricians, and other workers. In turn, the workers will buy items for their day-to-day needs in our community – boosting sales at restaurants, gas stations, and other local businesses.
