HAGERSTOWN, MD (September 30, 2004)-Carolyn Tuttle has been named director of patient financial services for Washington County Health System. Tuttle will be responsible for admissions registration, patient billing, as well as patient collections. 

Drawing on her extensive experience with the Maryland payment system, Tuttle hopes to integrate the patient access and patient account areas to handle accounts equitably and assure compliance.

Tuttle previously worked as director of patient financial services at Frederick Memorial Hospital for six years. She has also worked at The Psychiatric Institute of Washington in D.C. as well the Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, where she implemented an electronic billing system with a customer service call center for patient inquiries to reduce billing errors and complaints.
