Washington County Health System would like to welcome Scott Riddell, MD to Women’s Health Center at Robinwood. Dr. Riddell came to Hagerstown from Hollywood, Florida, where he worked as a hospitalist at Memorial Healthcare. Before working as a hospitalist, he had his own private practice in Tampa, Florida, for five years.

Dr. Riddell attended the University of Florida and then earned his medical degree at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. He has a special interest in gynecologic surgery.

When asked what prompted him to go into this field, he said that he enjoys this field because it is a “happy specialty,” adding that “it’s nice to be a part of building families.” In Dr. Riddell’s spare time he likes to play golf, tennis and poker, and spend time with his wife and two boys, who are ages eight and five.
