Stephanie Brown, M.D. recently joined the staff of Washington County Hospital's department of family medicine. Dr. Brown will also be practicing at Robinwood Family Practice.

Dr. Brown received a medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. as well as a bachelor's degree in psychology from Duke University. After completing a residency at the University of Maryland Family Practice in Baltimore, she completed fellowships with the Association of American Medical Colleges Health Services Research Institute and Johns Hopkins Faculty Development Program.

Prior to joining Washington County Hospital, Dr. Brown served as a full-time assistant professor at the department of family medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She is a member of the American Medical Association, National Medical Association, Maryland Academy of Family Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Public Health Associations.

Dr. Brown is married with one stepson and enjoys spending time with her family, dancing, and boating. She is very interested in doctor-patient relationships, women's health issues, and preventative medicine. Dr. Brown is pleased to join the community in Washington County and looks foward to many years of service.
