What’s the truth about diabetes?

Listen as Adriana Maldonado-Brem, MD, dispels four of the most common myths about diabetes. As a practicing endocrinologist, she knows firsthand the questions and fears experienced by newly diagnosed patients and their families.

Do you know the answers to these questions?

  • Will taking candy off the menu keep blood sugar under control?
  • Is diabetes inevitable once your body shows evidence of glucose intolerance?
  • Does taking insulin mean your health is gone?
  • Is diabetes a death sentence?

With the guidance of Dr. Maldonado-Brem and her team, patients are able to move past these and other misconceptions to gain control over their blood sugar and regain a better quality of life.
