Physician Investigators

Established in 1995, the Center for Clinical Research at Washington County Hospital is a growing program that manages from fifteen to twenty active research studies at any given time, in a variety of disciplines.

Our staff has more than ten years of experience performing clinical research, and the center has access to more than 280 board-certified staff physicians representing more than thirty subspecialties. Our researchers are ACRP-certified.

Our physicians serve as the principal investigators for the research studies we perform. Their medical specialties include the following:

  pulmonary medicine   neurology
  asthma and allergy   pain management
  gastroenterology   oncology
  general internal medicine   oncology pain

Individuals who participate in clinical research as patients perform an important service for the medical community while receiving excellent care. If you choose to participate in one of our studies, you’ll receive medical care at the office of the principal investigator, your study doctor. The Center for Clinical Research’s staff will manage your care in collaboration with the study doctor.
